Budget Tip of the Day:
Cork is a great, durable material that can add a lot of function to your furniture. Try using it to cover the top of a work or side table to give it extra durability or to cover nicks and scratches. Cork is easy to find in the craft section at most any store. You can buy it in pre-cut pieces or in a roll. If adhesive is not included, just use spray adhesive on the back side of the cork and apply to top of table. Simple, easy, and functional! |

Make sweeping and cleaning all those inevitable meal time messes a whole lot easier by attaching swivel casters to the bottom of your kitchen table. Find casters at any home improvement store. Measure the stem of the caster and use a correlating size drill bit. Drill a hole on the bottom of each leg and insert the caster. Make sure at least 2 of the casters have locks so the table stays in place when you want it to. It's that simple to make your existing table more functional and much easier to maneuver. |
